We expect to engage people in the EU idea and empower them, to be able to overcome internal differences and stand united in order to tackle the trials of our times.

Kick-off meeting

On the 9th of September 2020, in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria was held the first meeting of the project consortium. Due to the lasting pandemic situation, the event was hybrid, most of the partners were present onsite, but there were some who were online.

Am 9. September 2020 fand in Stara Zagora, Bulgarien, die erste Sitzung des Projekt Konsortiums statt. Aufgrund der anhaltenden Pandemie-Situation war die Veranstaltung hybrid, die meisten Partner waren vor Ort anwesend, aber einige waren online.

Conference

Under the theme "Communicating the EU", a conference was held in Sassari, Sardinia, at the end of October 2021. As a Citizen Forum for a better EU Communication, the event was co-sponsored by the European Union. NGOs from six different EU countries (Spain, Greece, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany) attended the event to exchange ideas and discuss the topic. Together they discussed and thought about the topic of communication.

Besides the lively exchange during the conference, getting to know Sardinia was not neglected. A fruitful exchange took place over a good glass of Italian wine. BIDA Kultur und Bildung e.V. has sent three representatives to Sardinia.

Unter dem Thema „Communicating the EU“ gab es Ende Oktober 2021 eine Konferenz in Sassari auf Sardinien. Als Citizen Forum for a better EU Communication wurde die Veranstaltung von der Europäischen Union mitgetragen. NGOs aus sechs verschiedenen EU-Ländern (Spanien, Griechenland, Polen, Bulgarien, Italien, Deutschland) nahmen die Veranstaltung zum Austausch von Ideen und zur Diskussion des Themas war. Gemeinsam wurde das Thema der Kommunikation besprochen und angedacht.

Neben dem regen Austausch während der Konferenz blieb auch das Kennenlernen Sardiniens nicht zur kurz. Sodass auch bei einem guten Glas italienischen Weins ein fruchtbarer Austausch stattfand. BIDA Kultur und Bildung e.V. hat drei Vertreter nach Sardinien gesendet.

From 2nd to 4th December 2021 BIDA e. V. organized an International Citizens' Forum European Digitalisation in Berlin, in the frame of the Project: “Citizens’ Forums for United Europe”. Organizations from Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, Italy and of course Germany came together to take part in this event.

Participants from European countries prepared concrete topics of Digitalisation in Europe: The effect of digitalisation during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic- online teaching, social life, personal development; the development of online services for healthcare and digital bureaucracy during the pandemic and online medicine, Innovative education. How are we doing it? Where are we leading? Where do we need to catch up?

Between the official appointments like workshops, breakfast, lunch and dinner, we had time to explore the city. We visited Christmas markets and tourist attractions like the “Brandenburg gate” in Berlin and also the “Futurium”, a museum about future ways of living. It questioned the design of future cities, food, robots, artificial intelligence, climate change and many other very interesting topics.

Evenings were used by us to connect with one another, talk about our lives, answering questions and having a nice time together.

The project reminded us, the German group, how important the European Union with its values and cultural diversity is for all Europeans. And that supranational cooperation can achieve great things and problems can be solved when we work together.

Vom 2. bis 4. Dezember 2021 organisierte BIDA e. V. im Rahmen des Projekts “Citizens’ Forums for United Europe” ein Internationales Citizens' Forum European Digitalisation in Berlin.

Organisationen aus Griechenland, Bulgarien, Polen, Spanien, Italien und natürlich Deutschland kamen zusammen, um an dieser Veranstaltung teilzunehmen.

Teilnehmende aus europäischen Ländern bereiteten konkrete Themen der Digitalisierung in Europa auf: Die Auswirkungen der Digitalisierung während der weltweiten Covid-19-Pandemie – Online-Lehre, soziales Leben, Persönlichkeitsentwicklung; die Entwicklung von Online-Diensten für das Gesundheitswesen, digitale Bürokratie während der Pandemie, Online-Medizin und Innovative Bildung. Wie gehen wir damit um? Wohin führt uns das? Wo müssen wir aufholen?

Zwischen den offiziellen Terminen wie Workshops, Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen hatten wir Zeit, die Stadt zu erkunden. Wir besuchten Weihnachtsmärkte und Sehenswürdigkeiten wie das „Brandenburger Tor“ in Berlin und auch das „Futurium“, ein Museum über das Leben der Zukunft. Es wurden die Gestaltung zukünftiger Städte, Lebensmittel, Roboter, künstliche Intelligenz, Klimawandel und viele andere sehr interessante Themen hinterfragt.

Die Abende wurden von uns genutzt, um miteinander in Kontakt zu treten, über unser Leben zu sprechen, Fragen zu beantworten und eine schöne Zeit miteinander zu verbringen.

Das Projekt erinnerte uns, die deutsche Gruppe, daran, wie wichtig die Europäische Union mit ihren Werten und ihrer kulturellen Vielfalt für alle Europäer ist. Und dass supranationale Zusammenarbeit Großes bewirken und Probleme lösen kann, wenn wir zusammenarbeiten.

Event

In Greece, the international event took place at the LGA-WM offices on March 18, 2022, in which young people from 18-30 years old participated. A total of 136 participants were involved, both online and onsite, from 6 different countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Spain). The event was also broadcasted via live streaming on YouTube and thus was given the opportunity for remote participation.

In Griechenland fand die internationale Veranstaltung am 18. März 2022 in den Räumen der LGA-WM statt, an der junge Menschen im Alter von 18-30 Jahren teilnahmen. Insgesamt waren 136 Teilnehmer sowohl online als auch onsite aus 6 Ländern beteiligt (Bulgarien, Griechenland, Deutschland, Italien, Polen und Spanien). Die Veranstaltung wurde auch per Live-Stream auf YouTube übertragen und bot somit die Möglichkeit zur Fernteilnahme.

The event was organized in the form of workshops, presentations and discussions for an international group – 105 participants from Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece and Spain. The main theme of the project was the future of the European Union, including the challenges it will face in the nearest future and how it can become more competitive. The aim was to increase the participants' knowledge and awareness of the challenges in the modern Europe and to develop a common perspective and possible solutions.

Die Veranstaltung wurde in Form von Workshops, Präsentationen und Diskussionen für eine internationale Gruppe von 105 Teilnehmern aus Polen, Deutschland, Bulgarien, Italien, Griechenland und Spanien organisiert. Das Hauptthema des Projekts war die Zukunft der Europäischen Union, einschließlich der Herausforderungen, denen sie sich in naher Zukunft stellen muss und wie sie wettbewerbsfähiger werden kann. Das Ziel war es, das Wissen und das Bewusstsein der Teilnehmer für die Herausforderungen im modernen Europa zu erhöhen und eine gemeinsame Perspektive und mögliche Lösungen zu entwickeln.

Final Conference

On the first day of July, SZREDA has organised the final international event of the EUnited project – the Final Conference on Climate Change and Environment. It involved 73 participants from 6 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Spain). A pool of interesting speakers from the Ministry of Environment and Waters, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and WWF Bulgaria.

Am ersten Tag des Monats Juli hat SZREDA die letzte internationale Veranstaltung des EUnited-Projekts organisiert - die Abschlusskonferenz über Klimawandel und Umwelt. Daran nahmen 73 Teilnehmer aus 6 Ländern teil(Bulgarien, Griechenland, Deutschland, Italien, Polen und Spanien). Ein Pool interessanter Redner aus dem Ministerium für Umwelt und Gewässer, der bulgarischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und dem WWF Bulgarien wurden involviert.
